The “Shipshewana Not So Mini Rally” has been hosted by Dave & Tina Styf and of course, the best Rally Dog in the world, Murphy, for many years; all Birds are invited.
The location is the Shipshewana North Campground and Cabins. This is Dave and Tina’s Rally and not VB but they have graciously agreed to let us begin our Rolling Rally with them. They have perfected the perfect low stress rally. No schedules, no events, just a great get together. There are many things to see and do in the area. This is Amish Country with great stores, garage sales, restaurants and a huge flea market on Tuesday and Wednesday. Can’t promise, but in the past, Rowland and JoAnne Rose have opened up their “Arcade Home” which has to be seen and experienced. There are several RV surplus stores in the area for the guys to go to multiple times during our visit; once is never enough! There is also a local shop which works on AC units and propane refrigerators; this shop has a very good reputation. The official dates are Wednesday,
June 7 to Sunday, June 11, 2023. Many of us will come early and make a week of it.

Sunday, June 11, 2023 at 8 AM is the target time to leave Shipshewana for the 4 hour drive (240 miles) to Mahomet IL. We will be staying at the Tin Cup RV Park for the night.
Mahomet is a small town west of Champaign/Urbana IL and home to the “Museum of the Grand Prairie”. We will tour the museum and grounds on Sunday afternoon.
Monday June 12, 2023 AM we will depart for Springfield IL for a short 1 ½ hour, 85 mile drive. We will be staying at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield. Our hosts for our Springfield adventure will be David and Dawn Hollis. David is a retired firefighter in Springfield and knows the ins and outs of the city. There are many things to see and do in the area. A major theme of Springfield is, of course, Abraham Lincoln. His restored home, law offices and the old state capitol building where Lincoln delivered his famous House Divided Speech are open for tours. Many people pay their respects at the President’s tomb in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Lincoln’s Presidential Library is also in town.
Friday, June 16, we have a 2 hour, 125 mile drive to St. Peters, MO. We will be camping at 370 Lakeside Park, St Peters, MO. Gary and Molly Shilling will be the hosts for the St Louis Rally. We will be relying on Dave and Dawn for "must see" things to see and do for they also have spent quite a bit of time in St Louis. It is a 30 minute drive to downtown St Louis from our campground in St Peters. There are so many things to see and do in the St. Louis area. The charming old town area of St. Charles is amazing, with shops, restaurants and the Lewis and Clark Boat House and Museum. There is, of course, the Gateway Arch and Museum which should not be missed. White Haven, the home of Ulysses S Grant, is a National Historic Site which also has a museum on the premises. The St Louis Zoo is world class. And there is much more! I’m sure we will not run out of things to do.

We hope you can make the entire Rolling Rally, but understand if you can only join us for part of it. Please fill out the attached Registration Form and let me know your travel plans.
The is a Vintage Birds Rally but non-members are welcome to attend as guests.
There is a $10 Rally fee per coach per day, not including the Shipshewana portion. We will be providing some meals, coffee, donuts, etc for the Rally. After Shipshewana, the Rolling part of the Rally is 10 days for a total of $100. If you will be with us for only part of the Rally, the fee will be $10 a day.
